The University Lawn Allow Program is a cooperation between Whole Children Base, Whole Meals Industry and FoodCorps. Thanks to the kindness of Whole Meals Industry clients, Whole Children Base is able to provide allows of $2,000 to back up school garden tasks in the US, UK and North america.
To be qualified for an outdoor grant, candidates must be a 501(c)(3) charitable company or charitable K-12 school that is creating or currently keeping a college garden venture that will help children interact with with clean fruits and vegetables and veggies. Lawn tasks may be at any level of development; planning, growth or function. For situations in which an candidate helps garden tasks in more than one school, several garden allows may be asked for under only one program. In periodic situations, extra resources may be granted for special tasks. In choosing grant individuals, concern will be given to both limited-resource areas and to tasks that illustrate powerful buy-in from stakeholders. There is a restrict of one garden grant per school.
To be regarded, programs must be obtained by 5pm CST, Dec 31, 2011. Applications must be finish in order to be regarded and cannot be modified once posted. Preliminary grantees will be declared in Feb 2012. Allow resources will only be paid after a grant contract has been finalized and came back by grantee. Once last financing choices are made allows will be granted by Whole Children Base. Funds will be paid to individuals as a one-time, one-year prize. Realization an end-of-grant study will be required for all individuals.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA
APPLICANTS MUST:
Be a charitable school or school region (public, private or rental, primary, center or secondary) or a 501(c)(3) charitable company working in collaboration with one or more educational institutions.
Have the potential to handle grant resources sensibly and the abilities and experience necessary to to get a venture including school landscapes.
Demonstrate that your garden venture has powerful contribution from stakeholders, such as the college major, volunteers and a group associate.
Demonstrate that careful concern is being given to the specialized difficulties of college garden growth and maintenance: ground examining, water accessibility, device storage space and public rules.
Articulate a powerful strategy for creating your garden into the life of the college and group, such as plans to put the garden's generate to good use.
HOW TO APPLY
If you are a multi-school region or a charitable company that works with several educational institutions, you may demand several allows on only one program. Observe that you must finish the "Add Another School" area for each extra grant you wish to demand. These allows may only get restricted financing.
NOTIFICATION
Grant result announcements will begin in Feb 2012. Applicants can check the position of their grant program at any time by signing into their account.
REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE
Grantee maintains full legal and financial liability for its garden venture.
Grant resources are topic to audit; invoices must be kept by grantee for three decades.
Grantee must finish primary accountings and reviews, to be equipped by email.
